Police parade 14 suspects over raid on Justice Odili’s Home

The Police authorities on Thursday shocked Nigerians wiyth revelation tjat tjose who raided the house of Justice Mary Odili on October 29 are not security officials

 

The Police revealed this when thyey  paraded 14 suspects who were said to have been involved I’m the night raid at home in Abuja

 

Accorded to the Police, the found out that those who led siege at the Justice’s home were not  not security operatives.

 

According to Police spokesman, Frank Mba, a Commissiomet of Police, the teamwere led by a fake Chief  Superintendent of Police, who was identified as  Lawrence Ajojo.

 

Ojo, according to Mba, admitted that he was engaged as a consultant by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN.

 

Mba said that the suspects involved in the criminal act came from different professional backgrounds.

 

Respondi g to questions from journalists, Ajojo admitted that he was not a police officer.

 

Accordi g to him, he was  was a consultant to the AGF.

 

“I am not an officer of the Nigeria Police but a consultant for the AGF; he did not send us to raid Mrs Odili’s house,” Ajojo claimed.

 

Those who besieged Justice  Odili’s home that night claimed to have dome so om the basis of of an alarm raised by whistleblower by name Aliyu Umar, who said he  claimed had noticed suspicious activities at the Justice’s home

 

 

They were armed with search warrant which was issued by Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna.

 

The Magistrate said he had approved the search warrant by a body identified as the Joint Panel Recovery unit in the Ministry of Justice, on October 29, 2021

 

The magistrate was later to revoke the search warrant, admr&itting that he had been misled.

 

Since the incident, there have been torrents criticism, with many people calling for a probe.
